The SportRack Folding Kayak Carrier is a roof-mounted kayak carrier that folds down when not in use allowing you to park in low clearance garages. This carrier can accommodate 1 kayak measuring up to 36 inches wide and weighing up to 75 lbs. It has a quick on and off hardware design and will fit almost all square load bars, round crossbars, and most OEM crossbars. Each set includes two padded foldable kayak racks, two heavy-duty tie-down straps with cam buckles and two ropes with galvanized steel bumper hooks. The two ropes can be used to attach the bow and stern of your kayak to your vehicle and the straps can secure the kayak's body. When unloaded, you can turn the dual non-slip knobs to easily fold the kayak carrier. Each rack has heavy rubber pads that protect your kayak from coming in contact with the steel brackets underneath. The Folding Kayak Carrier has unique mounting hardware that consists of two carriage bolts, a bracket, and two wing nuts. On one end of the bracket, there is a slot where you swing the bracket out of the way to remove the system.
