Another significant factor playing a role in the Alpha Series Rods' superior construction is the special orientation of the metal's grain in the direction of stress along the rod cap. This orientation is deliberately perpendicular to the stress exerted along the beam, which in turn leads to greatly increased strength and product durability. What's more, the two-piece forgings give an ultra precise tight fit between the rod's cap and its beam without having to utilize the mass-production, brittle materials required by other processes.
