In 2012 the partnership between Subaru and Toyota resulted in a new series of sports cars named "The 86 Series". This series comes with a boxer engine; front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and 2+2 seating. The 86 Series was released with different names in the different parts of the world. In North America it was called "Scion FR-S".
Scion FR-S is a 2-door coupe manufactured by Scion – the North American division of Toyota. The name "FR-S" comes from "Front-engine, Rear-wheel drive, Sport" that perfectly describes the platform. Scion FR-S features a 2.0 L 4U-GSE / FA20 boxer engine and 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. This magnificent sports car is also equipped with Scion's BeSpoke stereo system.
At the beginning, no trim levels were available. But in 2013 a new 2500 FR-S model was launched as a part of the Scion 10 Series, which was created to honor Scion’s 10th anniversary. The 2500 FR-S model was provided with some extra features, such as HID headlights, automatic climate control, push button start and illuminated exterior badges plus shifter knob. In 2014 a new FR-S "Monogram Series" was presented – it came with additional features at special prices, like: heated leather and Alcantara seats; heated side mirrors; high-intensity discharge headlamps and dual-zone climate control.
Although it has a short history, Scion FR-S has quickly become popular and has even won the 2012 Best Affordable Sports Car Award by US News. So, if you're looking for Scion FR-S Accessories and Parts, there is no place better than Automotive Stuff.
