This lead to an arms race on who could dish out the best exhaust systems in the market - fortunately, Hooker had a dedicated team of engineers and technicians that toiled countless hours away to design a competent line of exhaust components and systems that produced significant power gains in a balanced engine to exhaust ecosystem. Hooker products gained more acclaim as the 70s and 80s rolled in, becoming the first choice of drag racers when it came to headers and offerings like the straight-thru glass pack mufflers becoming the craze of these motorheads.
Hooker also delved into the non-enthusiast and niche markets, offering bicycle, motorcycle, and truck parts to augment the service of these daily drivers in a more economical setting.
