Chevrolet Camaro is an automobile with almost 50 years history. In 1966 Chevrolet has introduced the first model 1967 as a competing model to the Ford Mustang. Most versions of Chevrolet Camaro are pony cars, although there are some models that can be classified as muscle cars. The first generation of Camaro (1967 – 1969) was offered as a two-door coupé or convertible with 2+2 seating.
In 1970 Chevrolet presented the second generation – with completely new styling, bigger and wider than the previous models. Twelve years later, the third generation came – it included the first Chevrolet Camaro vehicles with modern fuel injection. The fourth-generation (1993 – 2002) returned to some style characteristics that were inherent of the legendary models from the first generation.
After four specific generations, the production of Chevrolet Camaro was cancelled in 2002. However, in 2010 a new, five generation was launched. This generation featured an entirely new design and has won the World Car Design Award of the Year on April 1, 2010. Five years later, on May 2015, Chevrolet announced that six generation will come in order to celebrate Camaro's 50th Birthday. The 2016 Camaro will be available with modern features and new, unique architectural components.
